How long does it last?Brow tattoo lastabiltiy is dependant on your skin type, lifestyle factors and sun exposure. Most brow tattoo needs to be refreshed every 1-3 years to maintain colour and shape.
-
How do I know if my brows are ready for a 1-3 year refresher? For best results long term brow tattoo needs to be faded by 40-50% before being suitable for a refreshing session. This prevents over saturation of pigment. Please do not book an appointment 'just because it's been a while'.
-
Does it hurt?High quality numbing products are used throughout the procedure which keeps any discomfort to a minimum.
-
Is there a range of colours I can choose from?Yes, absolutely! We can custom create any colour you desired. If you are unsure of colour I am happy to guide you.
-
Can I still wear makeup or use skincare afterwards?Yes you can! But nothing over the direct tattoo area while it's healing so you need to be a bit more cautious around these areas. Make sure your only applying cosmetics and skincare with clean hands and brushes.
-
Do I need to shape and tint my brows prior? No! This isn't at all necessary as I do any required brow shaping/tidying. In regards to tint if you are someone that has fair brow hairs and usually likes them darker having them tinted prior will give you a seamless look with the brow tattoo, where as light hairs will be noticeable. No tinting can be during the surface healing process.
-
How long does it take?I allow 2.5 hours for all initial sessions. - the 6 week touch up is one hour. - 1-3 year refresher sessions are 1.5 hours.
-
How long does it take to heal?Surface healing is usually 7-10 days, however your skin will continue to heal under the surface for 4-6 weeks.
-
Do I need to shave my eyebrows off?ABSOLUTELY NOT! Please don't let anyone ever shave your eyebrows off!!
-
Do you tattoo over another artists work?It depends on the quality and style of the previous tattoo. Any previous work from another artist will need to be approved before booking. Please don't be offended if I turn you down as I only take on corrections that I can make look the same or similar to my own style of work.
-
Do you tattoo mature women?Currently yes, but it depends on skin condition and how much the skin has thinned with age as some skin types are no longer suitable for cosmetic tattoo. I am also happy to recommend another artist if I don't think my style of work is suitable for a mature client.
-
Can I get botox prior to my appointment? You cannot have botox through the upper face area within 14 days prior to your appointment. If you come to your appointment and are unable to be tattooed because of this you will be turned away and charged for the appointment.
